Living areas

The villa can either be accessed by the garden gate which leads to the pool or through the secure carpark, which fits one car and multiple scooters. The carpark front door opens into the living room, while the garden entrance heads down a tile path to the villa front where an 11 m by 2.5 m luxurious raised pool invites guests to relax. Two sets of sun loungers at both ends of the pool, each with white fringed, deep blue sun mattresses, provide magnificent sunbathing comfort.

Three sets of dark green double doors open into the ground floor living areas from the garden, where

a feast for the senses greet guests; wall art aplenty, comfortable cream sofas that face each other for intimate conversations, either side of an imitation fireplace decorated in varnished wood with green book shelves either side, stocked with elegant art pieces. Between the sofas and kitchen, the raw wood steps interspersed with blue white vertical tiles ascend to the first floor.

The dining table comfortably seats 10, topped by white grey marble positioned next to the fully equipped dark green and black designer kitchen with cream topped coutertop bar edged in copper running opposite the dining table, surrounded by elegant cupboards interspersed with diamond designer tiling. The blue white tea service is eye catching, along with the glassware stocked cupboards. Further cabinets in dark green house purified water, oven, microwave and two-door fridge, with coffee plungers at attention on the shelves above.

Upstairs, centered between all the bedrooms, sumptuous green sofas face the massive 65” TV. Behind the sofas, glorious dark jungle wall paper mesmerize, while the side wall is adorned in firefly woodwork. Here, green edged wood and glass doors lead off to each bedroom.

Accommodation

All bedrooms feature ample wall artwork, with green and white bedspreads, throw pillows, hanging and storage space, ensuite bathrooms, carpets, plenty of lighting to suit different moods, the design reminiscing a tropical colonial dream.

Master Suite

A resplendent grand canopied four-poster king-size bed, with floral silk bead-spread, sits facing the entrance, surrounded by tasteful artwork, rattan shade lighting, a bright green sofa opposite, and a single comfy reading chair. The private terrace is complimented with table and chairs to enjoy a little paddy field view. The huge ensuite bathroom gushes opulence, with glorious standalone bath resting below a skylight that caresses the bushes above the tub. Opposite stands a huge antique mirror for personal admiration, and massive gold rain-shower by the entrance door. This room aims to relax all body parts that Bali hasn’t thus far!

First bedroom

Situated above the dining room, a black wood framed four-poster king-size bed, with dark green foliage patterned cover, looks out over the pool and farmland beyond. Three double glass & wood doors lead out to the surrounding terrace, offering guests airy ambiance during the day. The terrace connects round to the children’s bedroom, high enough for kids security. The ensuite bathroom features dark blue antique white cross floor tiles with daintier blue white ones on the walls that lead past the magnificent basin, mirror, and toilet to the rain-shower.

Children’s Bedroom

Eyes are drawn to the dream forest wallpaper at the foot of the bunk-bed. Below is a small queen, with stairs leading to the top single bunk. Each stair is storage drawer, plenty of space for toys. A table and two chairs suitable for small people rests in the middle of the room perfect for doodling. The ensuite bathroom, is smaller than the others, but no less grand in detailing. The terrace at the front looks out over the pool, connecting to the first bedroom.

Fourth bedroom

On the ground floor opposite the living room is the fourth bedroom, featuring a king-size bed, with light brown upholstered headboard, and elegant rattan basket designer lighting either side. Double green and glass doors open out to the lawn and pool in front. The ensuite bathroom follows a similar style as the other bedrooms with the same wall and floor tiles leading to the rain-shower recessed behind the washbasin and toilet.

Staffing

The villa is blessed with a great team to look after guests and the property. The butler is delightful, probably the most visible during guests stays, who will keep the place immaculate at all times, while other team members include villa manager, gardener, and cook. Rumah Hijau has an extensive menu plus a chef available at extra cost, but do note the zero pork policy. The villa manager can assist with table reservations, tours, bookings, translations or other Bali activities. In addition, the team offer grocery shopping services at an extra % surcharge on the bill.

Location

Rumah Hijau is located at the end of a street in north Berawa. The villa is surrounded by empty land, with partial views of neighboring paddy fields and farmland. The main road is a simple 5 minute walk, while a scooter or car offers easy access to all the extensive spas, cafes, bars, beachclubs, and shopping that Berawa is now justly famous. Within minutes from the villa, guests can access the short cut to Jalan BatuBolong, or travel on Jalan Pantai Berawa to Finns Recreation Club with the Pepito supermarket close-by, leading further on towards Seminyak. Alternatively head north to Jalan Raya Canggu which connects to Echo beach, Pererenan and other beautiful seaside villages up the coast. The villa is a perfect starting point to access everywhere.
